The Affinity Bar Charity Challenge is an upcoming event in Royal Oak, Michigan that promises an exciting evening filled with charitable giving and friendly competition. Hosted by the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) and Women’s Bar Association-Oakland, this event aims to bring together members of various affinity bars to raise funds for their chosen charities. Set to take place on March 7, 2024, at the North End Taproom, this event is a unique opportunity for attendees to make a difference while enjoying a night of fun and camaraderie.

The primary objective of the Affinity Bar Charity Challenge is to support local charities and nonprofits. Each partner bar association, along with their guest judge, represents a specific charity. Attendees have the opportunity to vote for their favorite bar association by donating cash “tips” to the association’s designated “tip jar.” All tips collected will be donated to the charities selected by each respective bar association. Additionally, the bar association that receives the highest amount of tips will win the challenge and receive an additional donation for their charity. The net proceeds from the event will be divided among all the participating charities, further amplifying the impact of the evening.

The Affinity Bar Charity Challenge will take place from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm (GMT-05:00) at the North End Taproom, located at 111 S Main St, Royal Oak, MI 48067-2610. The venue provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for fostering connections and supporting a worthy cause. Attendees are encouraged to add the event to their calendars using popular platforms such as Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, iCal Calendar, or Yahoo Calendar.

The OCBA and Women’s Bar Association-Oakland are the primary hosts of the event. However, several other affinity bars will also be participating, adding to the diversity and range of charitable causes represented. The event aims to bring together members of the legal community, promoting collaboration and unity while supporting the community at large. It provides an excellent opportunity for attendees to network, forge new connections, and engage in meaningful conversations with like-minded individuals.

To make a difference and support your favorite affinity bar association, attendees are encouraged to bring extra cash or their checkbooks to make donations directly to the charity of their choice. Please note that credit cards or Venmo cannot be accepted. By contributing to the “tip jars” of the various bar associations, you can play an active role in helping them secure additional funds for their respective charities. Your generosity will go a long way in making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
